On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

The mid-week now what?

By 7:00 p.m. Wednesday I know I'm going to make it through another week. I'm still coughing, but otherwise feeling well, just a bit haggard these days.

I facilitated three different groups today, always a bit wearing, but have light work days until Monday when it all starts over again. So I guess my new definition of old age is when it take four days to recover from the previous three.

Rosie is steadily and faithfully producing one egg each day, each one a perfectly formed shell of crackable consistency. These days her eggs are probably a medium size, but I understand they will get larger in time. Medium is good, however, and worked perfectly in the morning's waffle batter. Each egg is positioned exactly next to the yellow golf ball. For a while I thought someone else was also laying, but I must have overlooked one of Rosie's earlier contributions -- before I told her where to park hers -- because every day there is one single gorgeous egg preceded by her heralding crowing. Rosie, you are the best!
