On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

End of the day

Today was Read-to-a-Dog day at the public library, a program that Demi and I got started last April. We've only been absent once.

Demi has something of a regular following now and I've finally learned everyone's names. I'm not good at memorizing names so it was frustrating for a long time because I couldn't call the kids by name.

I'm still drawing food. This will be going on for a long time. At least, I hope I stick with it for a long time. I keep reminding myself that I did lose 12 pounds since June 3rd and this go-round should be much faster.
