On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

The drawing diet

I'm forever trying to lose weight and did, in fact, lose 12 pounds since last June. Slowly, slowly.

Today I started drawing my food. It's labor intensive, but today I had more free time and it was fun. I can't promise to draw every mouthful, but I do know that the more time I spend drawing, the less time I'll spend eating.

  1. Congrats on losing some weight - I know it's not easy to do. This is a great way to keep a food diary - one of the tools in the "lose weight" toolbox. Your post is very well done - keep up the good work! nancy
