On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

Mele Kalikimaka

Steve and I just returned from a Christmas party with an Hawaiian theme in Napa, California . We're lucky to have Hawaii so "close" as it is a familiar vacation spot for so many of us.

Driving home, a soft rain was falling. Off and on, we're to have rain for the entire work week with the heavy stuff coming toward the end. My kind of weather! I just love weather that does something -- active weather, not the same-old, same-old, that sits around for months on end. And rain is my most favorite.
