On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

A day in the life...

I'm trying out various sketchbook journaling options and have noticed some art bloggers make montages of their day.

With Thanksgiving just hours away I'm trying to get deeper cleaning done - like shampooing some of the carpeting. It's best to do that very late at night so that family members aren't inconvenienced and there's no problem with dogs running through wet rugs. One down, another to go!

I worked seven hours today, more than usual. At 65 I'm never sure if I'm employed or retired, but today - Tuesday, for sure, I was working. And then I was so tired I fell asleep over a book and crashed for 2-1/2 hours!

  1. Great journal page, Barbara. I always enjoy your drawings of the dogs. I've read that book, too, it really is beautiful.

  2. Interesting. I never though about journaling a day at a time. Good start.
