Just playin' around
The boys at Juvenile Hall were mellow enough this morning. I enjoyed sitting with them and just doodling with acrylic paint.
I showed the art teacher that I had finally painted from my imagination without photo references or real life. He's been on my case about this for weeks. He said I'd gotten to the first grade. (Pooh on him!)
Steve and I wandered over to the farmers' market this evening. Of course I brought my new camera and tried it out. I've mastered a few more settings so things are getting crisper.
The Thai food concession is always wonderful and that's what we chose tonight. Of course, the pizza, the jambalaya, corn dogs and Guy Fieri's (from the Food Network) stands are always just about perfect too.
This evening weather was mild, no lingering heat, just perfect summer shorts weather. The crowd was festive and happy ... and so were we!
I turned 65 this year, too, and feel great about it. I'm happier than I've been in many past years, feel healthy and energetic, have lots of friends and plenty of interests. Keep after the drawing; it's practice that leads to progress. Your journey inspires me. Thanks.
