On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

Late night thoughts

Our weather has shifted from extreme heat to the loveliest of summer days, for which I am grateful. I'm also a little surprised by how fast the season seems to be passing.

I registered for an art course that begins in mid-August, but my energy level has been so low lately that I may cancel out and enjoy more time at home.

I received a postcard from Spain in today's mail, from an island I have to admit I'd never even heard of.

I was once told that there are two kinds of people in this world -- those who travel too much and those who travel too little. I guess my ignorance has positioned me in the latter group. But doesn't that beach look inviting?
