On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

Just shoot me

We had a wonderful Father's Day around here with the grandkids and daughters. And then I got sick. After everyone left. Very sick, just-shoot-me-sick.

Steve got it on Tuesday and Youngest Daughter came home ill Wednesday afternoon. I feel like Typhoid Mary.

So far I have missed several hours of work at Juvenile Hall, one client session, one dentist appointment, one medical appointment for my daughter, one appointment for myself, my watercolor class and Demi's work as the library dog. I've gone to work twice this week when I woke up more or less okay and returned home sick.

So I haven't gotten much drawing done, work done, or anything else. Call me Pollyanna, but I did lose several more pounds (you would too if you were nauseous and only ate about 400 calories a day) so I've lost the first TEN pounds on my Weight Watchers program. See, there is a bright side!

Here's my planner for last week.

And a Zentangle I completed when I was just lying around.

And a mouse that looked cuter in the photo reference than it does here.

I only have to work two hours tomorrow and can crawl back to bed until Monday.
