On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

A brand new week

I love the weekends but I have to admit, it takes a Monday morning to kick me into gear and start being productive again. I organized myself with a new calendar page. All I have to do now is fill it in and complete the doodling. I can't believe I had to be taught how to doodle, it comes so easily now!

I tried to draw at Starbucks on Saturday morning. Either the coffee wasn't strong enough (it was) or I wasn't inspired (I wasn't) because I didn't get very far.  There was lots of activity in there but people were moving around and not as settled into their activities as I was in my drawing.

Last night I started looking at all the "tangles" I've learned while Zentangling. I made a page of nine that I use often. It's just a portion of all that I've put into completed pieces and I hope to learn more every week. They're a lot of fun to work out and I always feel so relaxed after I make a full Zentangle. I especially like the Magic Carpet series that I've been working on and uploading here bit by bit.
And now, it's back to Monday morning. Work!
