On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

After the market

This morning was a chemotherapy day so I took the afternoon off and went back to bed. That's allowed, isn't it? Then Steve and I went over to the weekly farmers' market and brought fresh organic veggies. The food concessions were awesome. I chose a great Thai dish - a chicken pumpkin curry. Oh, yum!

Here's my view of chemo this morning.

Several years ago Steve planted a sprig of jasmine near our front door. On summer evenings the scent wafts through the living room and calls me to draw.

I love the scent of Jasmine too. Good sketch of the plant.

  2. Nice Texture and design,I like it's feel the way your leaves flow and turn.
