On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

Pushing on through

I have been trying very hard not to whine, but this is Day Four and I feel awful. I didn't cancel any work hours (possibly a mistake) but went to bed in between client sessions. I'm coughing and coughing now, but have a codeine mix to keep that under control. Woe is me!

Yesterday I cleared off one little shelf over the kitchen sink that keeps turning itself into a catch-all. Then I set out six largish mugs that we don't use very much because they are so big, and added little cuttings and set them back in the sun. Hopefully I'll soon have new plants and no new clutter. This little geranium is in a See's candy mug.

Last night I shampooed carpets so we woke up to clean, clean, clean with no doggy smells. I should do it more often!

Spring break is officially over so tomorrow: back to class I go....

  1. This is so sweet and a danged good idea too. I'm resisting the gardens siren call so far. I get so overwhelmed though I do so enjoy it when I do go out. Silly me I ought to take a page from your book. Just do it!
