On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

Homework

This week's homework had two components - an egg and a roll of toilet tissue. We were to note the shading and shadows.

I did my best but found it difficult. The roll, which was about 2/3 empty) looks more like a spool of thread. (sigh)

It rained for more than 30 hours without a let up. Now there's a weak sun with more showers forecasted for tonight and tomorrow.

Snow is falling heavily in the Sierra mountain range, good because the melted snowpack determines how much water will run off into the reservoirs later in the spring.
