On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

Caught in the drizzle

Today's walking - 10 minutes on the treadmill

This was my favorite kind of day, rain and drizzle, dark clouds and quiet, quiet, quiet. The entire community seemed subdued, tucked indoors out of the cold, an occasional dog being walked (setting my crew on edge because their territory was in danger.)

I'm recovering from a minor bug so haven't been walking or getting out much, just enjoying my little languish with a good book. Tomorrow it's back to work, regardless.

I chose this baby tulip, which has a couple tiny buds just beginning to open, for today's drawing. I like tulips, I really do.

  1. Hope you bloom right along with the beautiful tulip! I must know what the marvelous sound is--reminds me of a frog jumping---

  3. Thank you both so very much. Winna - the sound is built into the NeoWorx stat counter. I like it too!

  4. Looks really nice. You worked at capturing all the shades of green. It's attractive and the flowers aren't even out yet.

  5. Nice tulip. You really are doing much more artwork than I am at present. Something else I've got to do more of.
