On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

Where's the switch?

Youngest Daughter just burned the popcorn, can you smell it? The whole house reeks of that strong burny smell. (sigh)

I keep drawing this same lamp in hopes that I will improve. Well, I have improved, but it doesn't look even almost right yet. It seems that I try about every six months so maybe next summer.....

In the meantime, today was the first normal day since Halloween and the beginning of the holiday season. My watercolor class ends vacation tomorrow, kids started back to school this morning, it's all back to a much more even keel. I am so ready!

  1. I have things which I will continually revisit as well, Barbara, and I think that is a good thing =) because for one, it shows progress. Wonderful to see *your* progress!

A beautiful, wonderful, joyful 2009 wished for you!
