On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

Starting to understand

It's really exciting when you realize that you're starting to understand something that had seemed impossible to learn earlier. I know that one-point perspective is a skill that a third grader could pick up, but as I wrote yesterday, I'm slightly dyslexic and I've made several attempts to learn and have not been successful. Until now. I'm FINALLY starting to get it and I'm so stoked!

Steve and I celebrated our 44th anniversary today -- not bad for California. I've made five really great decisions in my life so far. The best one was that I decided to marry him!
