On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

Flipping through time

Yesterday, it turns out, was even warmer than I reported. This morning's newspaper claimed we set records, coming in at 81º and about 25 degrees above average. Whew!

Steve and I took Youngest Daughter to three medical appointments this afternoon. I passed the waiting time by flipping through old magazines in search of reference photos for future drawing practice. I would call this one a ladybug but the text said it was a beetle. I guess it is the same thing, or at least the same family.

Love your ladybug (and the creative, productive way you choose to spend wait-time!)
