It's not all black and white
By the most fortuitous of circumstances I have tomorrow off, not a single thing on my schedule. So... I hope to walk dogs, sleep in, work on my mixed media projects for class, read and basically have a lovely vacation day for no reason than I lucked out.
Regarding the above mentioned class, there are only four more sessions left. This represents a completed goal for me since I sign up for classes almost every semester and I drop out of classes after about a month or so almost as often. I'm still attending, still trying, still turning out projects and turning them in. And I'm planning to take another class in January...
(What class, you ask? To be decided.)
After unseasonable warmth the weather has shifted into dark cold days with lots of fog and dense clouds. But no rain, and that's the problem... there's been no rain. It's supposed to rain from November until May, but not this year.
In class we're practicing some basic book binding skills, something I have wanted to learn for quite some time. I'll be ready for my blogging Show and Tell soon, I do so hope!
I love this drawing, love the look of it. freat.
ReplyDeleteSorry... great, not freat
ReplyDeleteI love what your wrote on the designer sketch---I never would think anythig except, boy that's just great of her to make---must've taken quite a while to do and kept her out of troube :-)
ReplyDeletenow really, it's so full of places for the eye to land and delight.
like Ricardo, I must add a correction---the word is 'trouble' not troube

ReplyDeleteLove this! Did you enjoy doing it? Congrats on having a free day and on nearing the completion of your class. You certainly have produced a variety of works during this period. Was the class at a local college? Keep it up!

Thank you for your comments. It was fun to do but I found that it was difficult to think up new designs.
ReplyDeleteI have trouble with doodling too! I didn't back in my school years though - doodled all the time then. Hope you find a new class that will keep you going the whole way through as this one has.
ReplyDeleteDeveloping a sense of playfulness, that is SO important, Barbara! I think that is what finally pushes us through the perfectionism which often paralyzes us.
ReplyDeleteArt is about playing with what the eye sees.
(: love!
