We had a wonderful Thanksgiving Day with our children and grandsons plus a phone call from a faraway son. I lucked out since my only contribution was the turkey and gravy, the two easiest parts to prepare. At midnight I was making the turkey noodle soup which we enjoyed for lunch today.
One grandson stayed overnight and got returned to his parents this evening. I could have kept him forever! He doesn't have a dog at his house and he LOVES ours and they respond well to him too. I peeked into his room last night and he was sound asleep with Demi, also sound asleep, on her own bed right next to him. (sweet)
It's chilly and foggy these days and nights. I'm ready for some real California winter rain but nothing is forecasted this week. (sigh)
You're in northern Cal? I'm in Southern Oregon. I surfed over from Andrea's blog.
ReplyDeleteMy wife went through breast cancer treatmens three years ago. All seems well for the moment.
I have a number of illustrations I did related to the topic, but here is the url for a breast cancer doodle I did that I think you will find particularly interesting.

I make the soup from bones kept in the freezer (we have a turkey several times in a year so they aren't a year old) for when my family arrives. They usually get here around noon on the Wednesday before and arrive hungry. They love turkey enough that it doesn't wreck the next day's dinner.
