On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

Still can't draw

You know how some of us never hire people to clean our homes because we would have to clean our homes before we could hire someone? That's the way I feel about my drawing skills -- I have to learn how to draw before I can take a class to learn how to draw. To that end, I continue to practice. And scratch my head in wonderment, how does Andrea Joseph do it using cheap throwaway ballpoint pens? (If you don't know Andrea Joseph, click on her blog link on my sidebar.)

  1. I sure wish I knew!! I just came from her blog. Such gorgeous pictures out of a pen that I can't even write with decently!

Of course you can draw honey - the problem is not with your drawing, it is with comparing it to other people's drawing. I enjoy coming and seeing your work.
I totally get the housework thing though; every Wednesday as I leave for work I think of our 'once a week doer' coming in and shudder slightly...
