On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

Progress!

My new computer arrived today so I've been taking odd moments to move into it. This is so exciting!

In our mixed media class we're beginning a new printing project, this time by carving our own block prints. I've had a tiny bit of experience in cutting my own stamps but these are lino prints, a much denser material. Tomorrow I'll start some simple drawing projects to get myself started.

  1. Hope you enjoy your new computer. It didn't take so long to come after all and you saved $11.
