On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

Life in the slow lane

Yesterday was busy so I stayed close to home all day today and enjoyed the quiet. Steve worked this morning and didn't get back until mid-afternoon and then he was exhausted so I had most of the rest of the day to myself too. I gridded my activites as I went along, beginning with my first cup of coffee and ending with some bedtime reading. It was fun to live a day that way, slow and easy, but steadily in motion.

  1. It sounds like it would be a fun thing to do, recording a day this way. I usually get too distracted but I may have to try it.

  2. Great grid! I can't wait to see the animation, too.

What fun to read your blog and see your journal pages. Found you thru Everdaymatters. You write very naturally, just as if you were talking to me and relating your experiences. Loved your pages of My DAY, I think it was called.
