On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

I need a cup of coffee, desperately

I'm supposed to be completing one journal page a day for my mixed media class and I'm woefully behind. But last night I got this one done that I'd been working on all week. I'd do it differently if I were to start all over -- and maybe I will -- but here it is as it stands right now.

Demi celebrated her 4th birthday this week. She's our great little doggy living with chronic kidney failure and I worry about her every time she laps up a sip of water. But so far, she isn't symptomatic and I'm hoping her blood tests at the end of the month will support my observations.

Now, back to work!

  3. Wouldn't it be nice if she is either in a remission or it just doesn't show up positive? We can always hope!

    Love your coffee mugs!
