Three day summer holiday weekend - oh, joy!
I'm thoroughly enjoying this holiday weekend. Our Fourth of July was celebrated with a parade, fireworks, grandchildren and old-fashioned comfort food. The weather was absolutely perfect.
.
Yesterday was even more. We visited with out of town friends, toured wineries and enjoyed a fine lunch and great company. It was a bit warmer and then an ocean breeze came through.
I have nothing scheduled for today so it will be a real kick-back summer day. I have a book I want to read, gardening and catchup stuff. I love days at home, just love to be in my own home with unscheduled days. Today will be wonderful!
Oh, that all sounds so good! Love the strawberry cake sketch and all of your journal pages are wonderful!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful Fourth with family and friends! Your colorful sketch makes me hungry for strawberries but my June producing patch is still in blossom & with the crazy weather in WA we might get to eat them by August!
ReplyDeleteI love your page - it looks a lot like one of mine:

That sounds like a great summer menu. Your journal page is great.
