On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

A drawing a day keeps the doctor away

We are still fostering our own puppy while her forever family is on vacation. It was great to have her back in church again and she couldn't have been more perfect. She curled up and fell asleep the moment we arrived and stayed like that until it was time to walk to the communion rail where she always receives a blessing. Then she greeted her public at the coffee hour -- which meant that a lot of kids were bonking her and she just sat there and smiled!

I finally decided who to award for great blogs:

  4. Thank you, all 3 of you. Betty -- I like it too but it's also weird! I like the colors and I like the circular shape, but trust me, in real life this is a very normal looking -- and attractive -- dog! - Barbara
