On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

Do it anyway

It's been a week of funk and frustration. My computer didn't love me and I couldn't draw anything worth posting anyway. Blaaaah!

My personal best strategy for pulling myself out of it is to construct a reverse to-do list. Instead of writing down all I have to do (that would end up in thousands of line items), it sometimes works out better to do one thing and then write it down. Do one more thing and write that down too. I aim for a minimum of ten completed tasks. Then, if I still want to pull the covers up over my head it's fair game, I completed ten done deals!

  4. I think your leaves are great. Remember God doesn't make perfect leaves either, at least by human standards!

I love your reverse-list idea. I have lots of times that would come in handy. I am usually crossing things off and feeling good if I can - trouble is, I keep adding more than I cross off. This kind of list could grow and be a good thing!

  6. Well, I like your leaves and think you did a great job! I like your system for tasking too - I'll have to try that. Does it count if I only do one thing? :)
