Tagged!
I've been tagged by Freebird. So here goes with the answers:
1. What was I doing 10 years ago? I was in graduate school, preparing to graduate the next semester, and working at internships to gather up the necessary hours for licensing. I could almost see the light at the end of the tunnel with school and was looking forward to beginning a new career as a psychotherapist.
2. What are 5 things on my To-Do list? I want to visit a friend's art show this afternoon, I plan to maintain my walking momentum and walk all three dogs together, I have some small plants to pot on the back deck plus all the watering that needs to be done because the temperature is rising here, I bought all the veggies for a pot of soup so I want to put it all together (I eat soup all four seasons, it's my favorite) and last, I need to come up with a project for the girls' therapy group at Juvenile Hall.
3. What snacks do I enjoy? Ice cream, tapioca pudding, more ice cream. Plain vanilla is fine with me. I'm really a peasant, I like very simple things. A fresh apple would be great.
4. What would I do if I were a billionaire? First, I'd pass out in shock, because that doesn't seem to be on my horizon. I'd go to art school. I'd pay off the mortgage and help my kids with theirs. I'd buy a home for my youngest (disabled) and hire live-in support so she could have some freedom from parents. I'd give away so much money to anyone who would do good things with it, I certainly wouldn't need that much.
5. Places I've lived: Galveston, Texas; Carbondale, Illinois; Champaign-Urbana, Illinois; New York City; Syracuse, New York; Salem, Illinois; Normal, Illinois; San Francisco, California and Berkeley, California.
6. Who would I like to know more about?

I'll notify them. Here are the rules: Each player answers the questions about themselves. At the end of the post, the player then tags 5-6 people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know they’ve been tagged and asking them to read your blog. Let the person who tagged you know when you’ve posted your answer.
Being able to see the light at the end of the tunnel is such a good feeling isn't it?
ReplyDeleteThanks for playing. I hope you had fun.
I don't eat much soup in the summer as it gets too hot here. If I remember correctly you live where the summers are hot too. Unless you run the air conditioner, I don't see how you can eat that soup! I go for cold macaroni salads during the summer and the soups in the winter. (My husband doesn't like to run the air unless the house hits 90-95 degrees. The house, not the outside temp.
For a simple project (with advance prep done by you perhaps) take a look at this video. I made 3 in one evening with 2 of the books made from scraps from the first. Layers Upon Layers
Champaign, Illinois? Go Illini! (Class of 1999) Were you a student?
ReplyDeleteI loved Champaign. Many good memories, and aside from the beautiful campus, the town itself was full of great houses.
I was perusing your blog and enjoying your drawings when I noticed, lo and behold, you had at one time lived in Carbondale IL. Well, well, that's my hometown, born there and raised in the general vicinity. It's a small world, aint it?
ReplyDeleteBlessings and best wishes,
Mark
