On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

Still moving around

The 6th century brought additional monastic life to Ireland. One of the most notable sites is Clonmacnoise, founded by St. Kieran (or Ciaran) on the curve of the River Shannon.

The cathedral has lost its roof but is still a wonderful site to (try to) draw.

Great job - I love the shading on the walls. Like sherry, I'm also enjoying visiting Ireland "digitially" with you... thanks so much for sharing!

  5. Hi Susan & Kristin -- Thank you so much for looking. The coloring and shading you responded to were done with Pan Pastels -- my new favorite thing! - Barbara
