On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

Whose doggies?

I drew this postcard for one of my grandsons. It was good practice for me but definitely not my best! (Oh dear, I've had a run of crummy drawing days.) I used watercolor pencils and a Micron pen.

I did myself a great favor today and joined the site 10,000 Steps, which I hope will motivate me to get out and walk more. With all these dogs you'd think it would be easy -- and actually Steve and I have been out both together and alone getting exercise for them and us. Last evening we walked all four dogs at once which turned out to be quite easy since they are all relatively well behaved. But I need to up my daily average and walk and walk and walk!

  3. I think a day without drawing is a bad drawing day. A day WITH drawing is a good drawing day no matter how peculiar the drawings themselves... IMO!! (And I like the nasturtiums just the way they are.)

  4. That is exactly wonderful! Just what kids like me like!
Not drawing is horrible thing. Now, take Mr. Lizard and redraw him with more variety of red. Keep Mr. Lizard! He is great inspiration.
Best part of the weekend, My sons Birthday and I took a cake to work for Him and Apple friends.

A really bad day is having your iPhone die, not one year old and internal problems. I now have iPhone #2.
