On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!
lovely hand drawing and watercolor
ReplyDeleteOhh I love the idea of doing the armchair travels with a painting class. Do you all go to the same place? Great idea and great piece. You handled the folds of the fabric very nicely. Keep strong. Be well. Fourteen year survivor here.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your comments. To answer your question Deborah, yes, we all armchair travel to the same place. The instructor brings in a bunch of photos from various sources and we choose something to work on. We stay in one country for about a month and then move on. She also provides music from that country, maps and a few historical or current event items. Most of the other students learned how to paint mountains while we were in Tibet, the focus those weeks.-Barbara
ReplyDelete"I like the way the photographer cropped the photo to emphasize the hands and glass." Me too. And I like the way you captured the colors to keep the focus there.
ReplyDeleteThis is fabulous. Looking forward to seeing more
