On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

Torn paper doodles

I had a wonderful day. I worked in the morning and went to my 3rd watercolor class in the afternoon. I learned a lot, most importantly that the reason I couldn't do the background to yesterday's seagull is because I don't know how to do a wash. (DH does most of the laundry around here.) So Teacher said she'd teach me how next week. And then I got home and wanted to blog but really had nothing to blog about so what does a person do? In my case I ran for KALEIDOSCOPE where author Suzanne Simanaitis has tons of ideas and projects to spark your creativity, one of which is to tear up paper (that fit my mood) and look and look until you find something (like seeing animals in the clouds) and then draw it up so everyone can see. So I did just that.
