Draw for your life
When Marisa Acocella Marchetto was diagnosed with breast cancer she didn't just talk about it, she cartooned it! As a cartoonist for The New Yorker she drew the whole, entire and dastardly experience of being diagnosed and being treated. There is an increasing number of cartoon novels being published these days but this is one of the few memoirs that I've seen in cartoon book form. I would encourage anyone to read it who has cancer or is living with someone going through this experience.
On another note (forgive the pun), I completed the Everyday Matters challenge # 123, Draw a bell. I've never worked with symmetry before and didn't realize how difficult it is to form equal sides. This is a project -- like every other EDM challenge -- that I hope to repeat at some point and show improvement....that's the hope.
BEAUTIFUL BELL!! I love the delicate painting of the flowers on the bell -- pretty shape!
ReplyDeleteThat's a wonderful bell. Love the colors!
