That seemed to appease her. My son-in-law hates dogs but is allowing the kids to have some. His son got a puppy and SIL couldn't handle the accidents so the next dog had two be 2 years old and daddy approved. It worked out well so we are hoping the last child will get to get one now (oldest sister has a cat). Maybe there could be some way to work out a dog for your grandson.
