Watch and draw
More rain, which I can never enjoy enough. The forecast for tomorrow is sunshine and then a real storm is coming in on Friday. In the meantime, today was another good day.
The best part of today was holding a two-week old miniature goat! His mother rejected him so he's being bottle fed. I've wanted a little goat for years, but this is as close as I've gotten to one, I actually got to hold him!
I returned Cassidy to her puppy raiser, a sad moment, but hope she'll come back to stay with us soon.
After work I parked myself in front of TV and watched "Forest Gump" for the first time since it came out years ago. I just love that film!
While I was watching the movie I drew my top dog Brix, who was sleeping on the sofa next to me. And then I drew a flower from a photo I'd picked up at the Chelsea Flower Show a few years ago. I've never seen the actual plant, but if I ever do I want one.
What a lovely flower! I've never heard of that kind before, but you did a wonderful job drawing it! Your dog looks very sweet. I like the work you did with the lines. nancy
ReplyDeleteBeautiful sketches! That flower is gorgeous and I love how you did the black background. It just makes the colors in that flower pop.
ReplyDeleteThat flower is terrific as is Brix!
ReplyDeleteBaby goats are sure fun but now that ours are 8 years old the fun is long gone. They are friendly enough but just not the same as dogs.
My sister just got a new puppy (4 mos. old - guess no one wanted a non-perfect dog) and I was sad to have to leave after being around it for several days. I guess it just doesn't matter how many dogs we have, one more will be just as desirable.
